THIS evening in reaching the discussion of Indian religion and philosophy, Dr. Waterhouse arrives at the consideration of the religion of self-suppression. He instances the Vedic religion and Indian philosophy as expressing the ideal of the loss of Self in the All. He proceeds to an examination of the Vision of the Buddha; the religion without a soul; the suppression of desire, and the Great Plan of the absorption of the individual into the Infinite.
