featuring tonight The King George V Gold Cup for Gentlemen Riders and The Queen Elizabeth II Cup for Lady Riders
Tonight is a very special occasion at the Empire Pool, Wembley-for the first time the two most coveted titles in International show-jumping are to be decided in the same evening.
In the men's event, the holder Ted Edgar with his spirited grey horse 'Uncle Max' will stoutly defend his title against some of the finest riders in the world whilst Alison Dawes and her very experienced 'Maverick VII,' holders of the Queen Elizabeth Cup, will be determined to retain their trophy for Great Britain.
