Radio 2 celebrates the 36-year recording career of Alabama-born singer/ songwriter Emmylou Harris, who took cues from Bob Dylan , Joan Baez and mentor Gram Parsons and then radically reworked country and bluegrass to inspired effect. An immeasurable influence on the modern country sound. Harris also charted with more than 50 US hits between 1975 and 1993. She has worked with Dolly Parton , Neil Young , Willie Nelson , Conor Oberst , as well as Elvis Costello and Linda Ronstadt , both of whom provide interviews along with Keith Richards , Steve Earle , and John Prine. Plus input from
