Course No 44 of the Empire Test Pilots' School at
Boscombe Down has ended. After ten months of the most intensive training any of the students has ever experienced, they are within sight of graduating as test pilots.
There is one last hurdle: the presentation. Each syndicate must present its findings on the aircraft tested to a critical audience of staff and experts. Despite all that has gone before, their future is at stake. Students can fail the course on the quality of their presentation alone. Narrator Andrew Faulds Film editors
