A serial version for broadcasting of Crosbie Garstin 's trilogy, ' The Penhales ', read by Geoffrey Tandy
Ortho Penhale, young squire of Bosula, blown off the Cornish coast out to sea and captured by a slave-ship, is taken to Sallee, on the Atlantic coast of Morocco. In this instalment you will hear of the beginnings of his new life in Africa -first as a slave and later as a freed man in the Sultan's cavalry.
