Jean, a women's page interviewer, hopes that her meeting with the wife of an ex-boxing champion will provide her with a conventional female angle on the role of the wife left to pick up the pieces of a shattered career. Jean has to change all her preconceived ideas however, as she quickly discovers she has a most unusual and tender love story to tell.
