* CYPRUS AND SOME LESSONS FOR NATO

on Third Programme

by PHILIP WINDSOR
Philip Windsor has worked at the Institute for Strategic Studies for several years and is a lecturer in International Relations at 'he London School of Economics and Political Science. He believes that NATO-but not NATO alone-made mistakes during the recent troubles in Cyprus; but he argues that these mistakes have helped to define the role NATO could and should play in any future such disputes involving members of the Atlantic Alliance.
