Prokofiev rn 1918. at the age of 27, Prokofiev left his native Russia. For five years he toured Japan, the United States, Canada and Europe, performing his own music and composing. Then, in 1923, he settled in Paris, where he remained for ten years. The week's programmes include music from this period of his life, beginning today with the United States.
