Two months ago, PATRICK MOORE spoke of the role of the amateur in research in optical astronomy. Tonight, JOHN HEYwood and J. R. SMITH , two members of the radio-electronics section of the British Astronomical Association, discuss the amateur's contribution to radio astronomy.
Amateurs have shown that they can build radiotelescopes. The problem is whether they can use them effectively.
