The Lizard Syndrome

on BBC Radio 3

A first play for radio by KATE SOPER starring Judi Dench
In what is virtually a monologue, a young married woman questions her own state of mind.
' I call it the lizard syndrome ". You know that moment when you realise it's a lizard - a sort of uncanniness about it - when it suddenly moves. It doesn't seem quite right. I mean, like the lizard, when it moves, I suddenly realise it's my hand on the kettle handle.'
Psychiatrist ...PETRA DAVIES Directed by RICHARD WORTLEY
(Judi Dench is a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company) followed by an interlude
