Her Royal Highness Princess Elizabeth broadcasts a message to the youth of the Empire.

Music by the massed bands of the Brigade of Guards, directed by Captain G.H. Willcocks, M.B.E.; members of the Goldsmiths' Choral Union; and the Goldsmiths' Symphony Orchestra: conductor, Frederick Haggis. Organist, Arnold Grier.

The pageant is organised by the Empire Day Movement and the Sunday Empire News, and is arranged and directed by Colonel E.C. Heath, C.V.O., D.S.O., and Hugh Miller.
