Michael Berkeley 's guest this week is a fellow composer. Judith Weir is probably best known for her three operas - A Night at the Chinese Opera, The Vanishing Bridegroom and Blond Eckbert, all of which have been televised - but she is active in many other musical fields. Her own private passions range from the elegant simplicity of folk music to the intricate textures of Bach and Brahms.
