Another chance to see controversial playwright Ian Curteis's classic drama, first shown in 1979, which chronicles Winston Churchill's relationships with the various generals and statesmen of the Second World War during the period May to summer 1944. The title role is played by Timothy West, and is supported by a cast of luminaries including Eric Porter, Joseph Cotten, Richard Dysart and Ian Richardson.
