Mad about the Boy: the Songs of Noel Coward

on BBC Radio 2

2/3. Pet Shop Boy singer and songwriter Neil Tennant recalls the prolific and influential musical career of actor, playwright and composer Noel Coward (1899-1973). Tennant explores Coward's formidable legacy in musical theatre, with input from performers indebted to the creative giant. Veteran stage actress Elaine Stritch -who starred in the 1962 London production of Coward's Sail Away - pays tribute to the prolific writer, whose verbal wit and incisive lyrics graced more than 400 songs in a career spanning five decades.
