Jazz at the Bath Festival

on BBC Radio 3

Alyn Shipton introduces the last of three programmes of highlights from the Clerical Medical Jazz Weekend in May. Tonight's programme begins with a set by Azimuth -
Norma Winstone (vocals), Kenny Wheeler (trumpet) and John Taylor (piano). French guitarist Nguyen Le blends jazz with traditional music from his
Vietnamese heritage, with the group entitled Tales from Vietnam. The weekend ended with a rousing set from the French trio of Louis Sclavis
(reeds), Henri Texier (double bass) and Aldo Romano (drums). Producer Derek Drescher
