The U.S. Congressional Elections were held last week. At stake were ' 435 seats in the House of Representatives. 35 in the Senate. and 35 State Governorships, to say nothing of a variety of posts from ' Sheriff to Dog-catcher ' in every state across the nation. At issue were the major political problems of the U.S.A. Have these results endangered or bolstered the position of the President? Will the Democrats be able to push along their ambitious welfare plans? Will they alter policy in Vietnam?
