Ray Charles - Man and Music

on BBC Radio 2

3/4. Stuart Maconie pays tribute to singer Ray Charles, who died on 10 June, aged 73. He recalls his huge successes in the 1960s, including his foray into country and western music, epitomised by the towering I Can't Stop Loving You.
But the singer suffered from personal troubles. With input from biographer Michael Lydon and from Ray Charles himself.
