A sketch from ' Some People ' by Harold Nicolson
Arranged for broadcasting and produced by Douglas Cleverdon with Ronald Simpson , Susan Richmond
Neville Hartley , Mary McAlpine
As Max Beerbohm in Seven Men, so Harold Nicolson in Some People chooses a semblance of autobiography to relate the stories of characters who are partly imagined, partly real. The sketch of Lambert Orme is said to be based on Ronald Firbank, author of The Flower Beneath the Foot and other fantastic novels.
