Before the beer got hold of him, Billy the Bird was the best tenor in the local choir. Now his daughter, Gwennie, is returning from abroad and Billy must recover his self-respect; so he has to force the ultra-respectable Henry Jones into giving him back his place as top tenor in the choir.
