The Editors

on BBC One London

Presented by George Scott Portrait of a Black Editor -
Percy Qoboza , who was jailed for five months by the South African government and whose influential newspaper, The World, was banned. ' Telling the truth in South Africa can be quite a hazardous exercise ... but I've got a -role to play in trying to bring the human misery here constantly before the eyes of blacks and whites.'
A film crew followed QOBOZA from his home in the black township of Soweto to his Johannesburg office where he now edits another black newspaper, and to Holland where he recently received the Golden Pen of Freedom Award from the International Federation of Editors.
