Morning Performance: Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra

Another programme focusing on one of the world's greatest orchestras in live performances recorded in the Great Hall of the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.

Today's programme features two classics of the early 20th century and extracts from the orchestra's annual Eastertide performance of the Bach Passions.

Jonathan Swain talks to the orchestra's executive director about this Bach tradition, and to former music director Bernard Haitink, whose relationship with the orchestra stretches back over 40 years.
