The seventies brought the underground sound up to street level, with Curtis Mayfield and Isaac Hayes providing the soundtrack to the blaxpoitation movie genre and Sly Stone, Stevie Wonder and Kool and the Gang all making huge dents in the pop charts. Others like the Bar Kays War and the Ohio Players followed. On hand are members of horn trio the JBs.
