The last time we saw S Club 7 (in their Christmas special) they were en route to Los Angeles, the band having failed to find fame and fortune in Miami. Much like The Monkees shows in the sixties, the storylines are irrelevant. Youngsters just want to see Jon, Tina, Hannah, Jo, Paul, Bradley and Rachel looking lovely and singing the occasional song. But it works well and with the band's second album due out in the summer they are, to paraphrase one of their songs, not giving up until they reach the top. (JR)
