Pipe-major Sutherland, who was Pipe-major for twelve years in the Seaforth Highlanders , is now Pipe Band Instructor at Merchiston Castle School, George Heriot 's School, Fettes College, and the Royal High School, He has taught many hundreds of pipers and, of course, has been a successful competitor at almost every Highland gathering.
