Gillespiana

A concert given in January at the Queen Elizabeth Hall , London, with the suite Gillespiana as its centrepiece. This composition for jazz orchestra was written for Dizzie Gillespie by Lalo Schifrin. The work features trumpeter James Morrison , and Nigel Hitchcock on alto saxophone and flute. Also featured in the concert are movements from Schifrin's New
