The entracte music by J.-J. Mouret arranged and directed by Francis Chagrin : played by the London Symphony Orchestra Chamber Ensemble Adaptation and production for radio by J. Weltman
There is exaggeration in the suggestion that all Manvaux's plays could be called La Surprise de 1' Amour. But he did write two plays with the same title, which seems to prove that the subject was much in his mind. The so-called Seconde Surprise de I'Amour treats essentially the same theme as the first play: two people thinking they have no more in common than the belief that love is a snare and a delusion are caught in the snare and discover to their surprise that the delusion is a reality.
(The play was recorded in the UNESCO studio in Paris)
