A Ten-Year-Old Goes to Germany by Clara Furness
Helen, Mrs. Furness's youngest daughter, passed the eleven-plus examination early in the year-a whole term before she could go to the grammar school. So for three months she went to stay with family friends in Cologne, attended a German primary school, and acquired an impeccable German accent.
