A season of films featuring five great Hollywood screen personalities of the 1930s and 1940s.
Spencer Tracy plays the one-armed stranger who gets off the express train at the little Western town of Black Rock - the first passenger for four years to do so. Tracy's purpose is to trace a man whose son saved his life in the war, but all he encounters is open hostility.
