The French connection: a trip to Paris for the EastEnders to solve a few problems of the heart...

Why do the residents of Albert Square think that if they pop over to France for a few days it will solve all their problems? It never does. However, a group of them are off to Paris and with two extra episodes in the schedules it means something big is going to happen. But to whom?
Let's consider the options.

It surely can't be Grant and Tiffany, who have only just had their marriage blessed and seem positively lovey-dovey for characters in a soap? It could be Ricky and Bianca, though. We already know they have kept secrets from each other in the past. Or it could be Kathy and Phil, whose marriage has hit the rocks more times than Phil has said, "Make mine a pint." Be warned, though, that the repercussions of this storyline have the potential to create a bigger rift than the San Andreas fault line.
