Patricia Rossborough is Dublin-born, but spent her early childhood in Birmingham. There she studied for four years at the Midland School of Music, and won two scholarships. She came to London when she was seventeen, became interested in 'rhythm' music, listened, to use her own words, to 'crowds of dance bands', made a record in syncopated form, and secured a contract for eight years' recording. She has been broadcasting since Savoy Hill days.
