Omnibus presenting: The Wandsworth Sound

on BBC One London

featuring The Choir of Wandsworth School conducted by Russell Burgess

A few years ago school music often meant hymn-singing at Assembly. Today the situation has so altered that many school music groups are making recordings and giving public performances. At Wandsworth Comprehensive School the Choir, under Russell Burgess, is so much in demand that music would seem to occupy the entire curriculum. In fact it is still an 'out of school' activity.
