HM The Queen and President Mitterrand at Bayeux
Today, on the 40th anniversary of the D-Day landings, many ceremonies marking the occasion are taking place on the beaches and at memorials throughout Normandy.
In the first of three live outside broadcasts, HM The Queen, with President Mitterrand, visits the British War Cemetery at Bayeux for a service of commemoration.
