Sunday Feature: Viewing the Century - Les Murray

on BBC Radio 3

Les Murray has been described as "the most accomplished and inventive poet in Australia today".
Many of his poems are rooted in the rural landscape of his native New South Wales, but his work also encompasses contemporary culture, religion, republicanism and the problems facing the Aborigine population in modern Australia. He discusses the role of the poet in the late 20th century with Kevin Jackson. Producer Fiona McLean
