The Polish Army Choir formed in this country in the summer of 1940 has become famous in Scotland for their appearances in theatres and the concerts they have given in barracks and hospitals to entertain their British comrades in arms. They sing the soldier and peasant songs remembered from their student days ; and out of compliment to Scotland they have learned favourite Scots songs. They also took part in the Polish-Czech Concert at the recent season of Proms.
