Rheumatism, the most common of illnesses, is one of the major problems in the health of the nation. The Charterhouse Rheumatism Clinic specialises in all aspects dealing with arthritis and other forms of rheumatism—diagnosis, treatment, and research into its cause and cure, but does not take in-patients.
Independent of the Health Service, it receives no State Aid and relies on donations and legacies to maintain its work. An additional £10,000 is urgently needed to help in its Samaritan work and to continue research.
