Champignol malgre lui
A farce by Georges Feydeau translated and adapted by Peter Meyer
with Richard Briers, Gwen Watford, and John Moffatt

Time: The Nineties.
Scene: A Paris Apartment: a military Establishment at Clermont; the house of Mme. Rivolete near Clermont.

Confusion. Panic. Normal life upset. The most dreaded event most decidedly happening. The most unwanted visitor most unexpectedly arriving. Identities mistaken. Affaires discovered. Lovers concealed. A nightmare. As they fight to preserve honour and struggle to maintain appearances the characters do not even smile. We're free to laugh. It's farce to us.
