Andrew Sparling presents a concert recorded last Sunday by the improvising trio Dangerous Kitchen, featuring Stan Sulzmann on saxophones and flutes, and Simon Allen and Martin Pyne on percussion. They are joined by the Kitchen Unit in a sequence of solos, duos and group improvisations at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London, including new compositions by Sulzmann, Pyne and Tony Hymas and the first performance of Bluetime, a homage to late-night jazz broadcasts by Ian Gardiner.
