Rolf Harris presents the series following events surrounding two RSPCA hospitals in Greater Manchester. Christa Hart helps save a trapped swan and her fellow reporter Rhodri Williams encounters Rasher, an ill-tempered pig. An RSPCA inspector has to rescue some animals enduring terrible living conditions, and help is at hand for Bagpuss, a ginger cat that's been on the tiles for two nights.
