Glenda Jackson appeals on behalf of the Soho Project which was established in 1967 to meet the needs of homeless young people in London's West End. The project offers a preventative service for newly-arrived youngsters from all over the UK and Europe. It also gives counselling to those who have been living at street level for some time and who may have drifted into delinquency, drug abuse and prostitution.
