SCIENCE REVIEW

on BBC Home Service Basic

View in Radio Times

A programme of report and comment on some of the events of the past month in the world of science and technology
The programme includes a report on a new instrument demonstrated to the Institution of Electrical Engineers by C. N. Smyth M.I.E.E ,.-a television camera that works from sound instead of light. The new instrument may be of considerable interest to engineers because it can make visible the internal structure of engineering components and materials, and also to medicine where it might, in certain situations, be used as a substitute for X-rays.
