This year's Tony Awards Ceremony for achievement in the American theatre comes from Broadway's Imperial Theatre, home of many famous Cole Porter and Irving Berlin musicals.
The centrepiece of this year's Tony Awards Show is a musical history of this much-loved theatre and includes songs from "Rose Marie", "Fiddler on the Roof",
"Carnival" and "Most Happy Fella".

Best Actor in a Play - Tom Courtenay in "The Dresser", Milo O'Shea in "Mass Appeal", Roger Rees in "Nicholas Nickleby"
Best Featured Actor in a Play - Edward Petherbridge in "Nicholas Nickleby", David Threlfall in "Nicholas Nickleby"
Best Director of a Play - Trevor Nunn and John Caird for "Nicholas Nickleby"
