Detective: Death on the Champs Elysees

on BBC One London

A crime series
This week: Derek Godfrey as Francis Didelot's Commissaire Bignon investigates the case of "Death on the Champs Elysees"
Dramatised by Derek Ingrey
Also starring Frederick Jaeger, Elizabeth Shepherd
with George A. Cooper, Kenneth Farrington, Harold Goodwin

No hotel likes to feel it is the scene of a crime. To a hotel of the irreproachable respectability of the Henri IV in Paris, the effect of such an event on the management is catastrophic. Their wealthy and distinguished guests cannot be disturbed by the vulgar clamour of police investigation. Surely the business man found dead in his hotel room must have died accidentally. Commissaire Bignon thinks otherwise. Undoubtedly this is murder and his investigations reveal many strange facts about the guests at this luxurious hotel.
