Radio Theatre 81: Risky City

on BBC Radio 3

by Ron Hutchinson
with Terry Molloy as Boko

One Saturday night in Coventry, Boko, after a rather pointless argument, has his head kicked in. As he lies in the intensive care unit, fully aware of his surroundings but unable to move or speak, he reflects upon the patterns and causes which have led to his plight. What has happened to him? What, indeed, has happened to Coventry?

BBC Birmingham

(Risky City was performed in a musical version at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry, directed by Michael Boyd as part of the BBC/Arts Council scheme to commission new work for radio and the theatre.)
