Fair Deal?
' Value for money ' is an ever more critical slogan these days. How to get it, and how to complain if you don't, is tackled this morning by Elrlys Roberts of the Consumers' Association, and Roger Cook , who champions many a consumer cause on Checkpoint, Radio 4's Friday morning programme.
They will be answering all your consumer questions, from second-hand car sales - what can you do if you're sold a ' dud '? - to laundries and dry cleaners - have .you any claim if your clothes have been ruined accidentally? Will the new code of practice for footwear give you a better deal in shoe purchase and repairs? How will the consumer credit laws help you to know when you're getting a fair deal? Household appliance faults still give rise to the largest number of consumer complaints every year - perhaps you can add to the list with your particular disaster this morning. So ring in with questions, comments and experiences to Eirlys Roberts and Roger Cook.
