A Record of a Day in a Racing Stable
The programme devised by Tom Walls, Jack Inglis and H. L. Morrow
On this, the eve of the Grand National, a programme has been arranged by means of records taken at Tom Walls's 'April the Fifth' stables at Ewell, to give listeners an idea of what has been going on behind the scenes for months in the various racing stables in the country before the curtain can be rung up at Aintree on the running of the greatest steeplechase in the world. The actual voices of many racing celebrities will be heard, including Tom Walls, E. Williams , who will probably ride the favourite, Royal Mail, tomorrow, F. Walwyn (who rode Reynoldstown to victory in his second Grand National last year), and the famous Anthony brothers, Jack, Ivor, and Owen.
