on BBC Home Service Basic

View in Radio Times

by Lord Tweedsmuir
Lord Tweedsmuir spent a year at a Hudson's Bay Company's fur-trading post in Baffin Island in the Canadien Arctic. He dramatises and tells the tale of that year, trading with the Eskimos, traveling with them by schooner or dog team, hunting the seal and the walrus, trapping in the winter wastes, and watching the coming and the passing of winter.
