Richard Norwood was born In 1590 and died in 1675. He was a sailor, a soldier, an inventor, a bit of a playwright, and many other things; he was shipwrecked on a desert Island, fought with pirates, and ended up as a planter in Bermuda. His life acted out with curious accuracy the spiritual pattern of heroes like Crusoe and ChrlsUan.
