Those who enjoy Edwin Muir 's regular reviews of novels in The Listener will welcome this talk today. After being educated in Orkney Muir earned a living in various commercial and shipbuilding offices in Glasgow. It was not long, however, before he discovered his true bent as a journalist, translator, poet, and author. His wife Willa is also very well known in the world of letters ; he has collaborated with her on several occasions.
