A film series starring Ben Gazzara as Nick Anderson and Chuck Connors as John Egan.

A lorry driver is arrested by Sgt. Anderson following the death of a motorcycle officer. Although there is considerable evidence against the driver, Anderson feels sympathetic toward him and persuades defence lawyer John Egan to accept the case.
