Isaac Albéniz was one of the first composers to give modern Spanish music its strongly racial and national identity. His life was a colourful one, verging at times even on the melodramatic as he travelled the world giving piano recitals. His genius, however, was neglected in his home country until after his death.
With the voices of PETER BALDWIN , JOHN BOTT , JOHN BULL , PETRA DAVIES , MARTIN FRIEND and ROGER HAMMOND Directed by MAURICE LEITCH ( Dorothy Tutin is a National Theatre player)
